We upgraded the two outdoor aviaries located at the campus of Babes-Bolyai University. House sparrows confined here had only small rainproof shelters until now. The current brand new roof protects the birds and the aviaries’ structure as well. The transparent roof material also lets the natural lighting into the aviaries. This development was supported by a CNCSIS grant (PN II. RU TE 291/2010).
